A blog by Lufthansa employees about the visit of the Airbus A380 to the U.S.
Wow, and here comes already the first pic of the A380 on its way to JFK. LH employee Heike was up on the roof of the East Meadow building and took this nice shot. Isn't it a real jumbo?

Many of us in DC are disappointed at the lack of any public event/information regarding the first Dulles arrival. Lufthansa should have teamed up with the National Air & Space Museum - I bet that would have generated a lot of coverage.
I'm also curious about the schedule for the A380's arrival in Washington. The schedule does not have an arrival time, but based on a 6 p.m. departure from FRA, that would put the plane landing at IAD at 10 p.m. -- not much chance of getting a lot of media coverage or public attention at that hour on a Sunday night. The A380 is supposed to sit at IAD for almost 24 hours -- will there be tours available?
